LOST DATA RECOVERY

Well, well, well... what has just happened to me! (By the way not the first time) So here is the story: Suddenly 3 of my drives on my laptop disappeared...vanished...lost. ??? I said WTF? What did I do? Nothing. I just installed Google Earth, the installation failed due to some error and here we are: no drive D,E,F. 130 Gb all together. Next step...try System Recovery in the new Windows 7... of course failed. Thank you Microsoft! Okay, check with Partition Wizard how my system looks now. I have C and a big unallocated partition with it's 130 Gb. OMG! What now? All my important documents lost. Some of my music and so on... BUT: Never give up! I installed my good ol' GetDataBackForFat/Ntfs and recovered all the lost data. It takes time (still copying) but thanks to the programmers, it saved my life. Now I will keep my important stuff on 2 different hard drive so if one will go wrong I still have the other one. Great ending for 2009.

TODAY I'M SICK

No good, I got flu. Just before new year's eve:] Good job! Who cares? Life goes on! Keep smiling, keep laughing and keep loving! For this occasion I put a new profile picture for you guys, so you can see my beautiful big nose and my eyes in the background.
I'm still not 100% familiar with this whole blog-thing. How it works, bla-bla-bla. Dewi tried to 'google' my site with no result:] Honestly I wanted to make money with the Google AdSense stuff but I don't know how. One thing is for sure: if I don't get enough readers and clicks on those boring ads, I won't make a penny.
I'm tired 'cause my wife just tickled the crap out of me. I'm very ticklish. Couple month ago I saw a big picture in a bus stop. It was about why people feel ticklish by others touch and why not from their own? I never could read the answer because the bus was moving too fast. I really wanted to know, but later when I went back there the picture was gone:[
Okay that's it for now.
See you next time.

HAPPY NEW YEAR

...don't worry guys, it's just another 365 days:]

GOODBYE-BLOG TO BRITTANY

Probably all of you know the sad news that actress Brittany Murphy died on Sunday morning at age 32. My mood dropped and I felt very sad as I first saw it on the internet. Dewi and me really liked her and we love the movies she played in. For us she always symbolized a bright, cheerful, silly, lovable character with her aura. We will miss her from all the light comedies and romantic movies.
Your smile will stay with us Brittany. Thank You for the nice hours. Thank You for everything.
Rest in peace.

FUNNY POEMS

When I was in the high school, some of my friends and me wrote poems the funny way. Whenever (most of the time) we had a boring class we wrote poems. One of us started it by writing 2 lines, and then the other one continued. We created pretty funny poems. And these stay a forever memory. To read them again time to time makes me feel like going back in time. Well, I must confess that I continued this habit in the university as well:) And believe me it was worth it... I got some really entertaining stuff. I would publish them to make other people laugh, but the language we used is Hungarian. Hard to translate to make the same impression as the original.
So what I want to say is, when you bored, just ask one of your friend and write funny poem together. Write about anything, you'll see how unexpected lines your friend will write. You can do it also via email, but the best in the school during a class:)

I'VE GOT AN IDEA!

Okay, since I don't really know what to post on this site, I was thinking what if I write about my dreams? Why not? Even if nobody really cares but at least it will force me to start remembering again and who knows?... maybe something really interesting will come out as a result:) And I think I will read my old dreams and select couple funny or exciting stories for posting.

LONDON BEFORE XMAS

I made some photos late afternoon about Central London. The roads are decorated already, the shops are open until late and the streets are full of people. No snow, only sometimes raining, the weather is not too cold.

DREAMS

Here is something which happens every day (night) but we don't really give attention. Dreams can tell us secrets, answers, even the future --- Ooo-la-lah:)
I'm too lazy to do it now, but in my high school years I wrote down my dreams every morning. A very interesting thing it is.
On the first week was very hard to wake up in time and remember about my dream(s). I could catch only small parts, moments and feelings what I was dreaming about. But I did not stop. I wrote in my notebook everything what I could remember. Every day I got better and better. It was like a memory training. Later I could track back my dreams until the beginning. Like I watch a movie backwards. First comes the freshest, last dream, then I figure out what had happened before that, and so on until the first dream-piece. Sometimes it was was a whole long story, other times 5-9 different episodes. I realized after a time that when I was more stressed (because of the stupid school) I had more short dreams. But when I was relaxed my brain created a big full story.
Dreams can be really funny and entertaining, can be scary or confusing. They can make sense but most of the time absolutely opposite, but they are always interesting and mysterious.
And they can be controlled!
As time passed, I learned that my memory improved a lot, I could dig deeper and deeper in my brain, fishing out lost information from the past. I realized that the so-called 'deja vu' is not something what happened before with us, but is something what we dreamed about before. So that could mean only one thing: sometimes we are dreaming about the future!
It would be too long to write all my experiences in this blog. Between Dec.1994 and Oct.2004 I collected 147 dreams of mine. Among these are 3 which came true.
The biggest success was the one which helped me through my math examination at the university. The point of the story is that 2 days before the exam I still wasn't ready for it... i learned about 50% of the whole book...not enough:) So when I went to sleep I made a self suggestion that I will dream about my math exam, I will wake up right after the dream and I will make a note about it. Everything happened just as planned:) When I woke up next morning I found a short ugly scrape in my notebook. Took me an hour to figure out the letters and the words:) (Just try to write something while you suddenly wake up from deep sleep. Really funny). So what I found was the title of theorem Nr.14 (from the list with 33 theorems)!!!
That day I only learned that one. Next day I went for the exam. I had to choose 1 from 33 upside down piece of papers each having 1 title on them. I picked Nr.14! Well done Viktor...I just smiled and made the best exam of my life:)

CHAMOMILE

Get some dry chamomile flowers, put it in boiling water for couple minutes and breath the steam! Best way to do it: take the pan off the stove, cover your head with a towel so the steam doesn't escape and breath it through your nose and mouth. You can even keep your eyes open.
It is the best healing for flu, excellent for the skin and makes you feel fresh like morning-dew:)
No kidding, 3 times 10 minutes a day when you are sick, and the flu is gone like money from your pocket which you spend for medications. Get well people!

STAR WARS: X-WING ALLIANCE

Well, the only thing I can say for a beginning, that this is the game of the games for me. I love Star Wars, I grew up on it, I'm a big fan and collector. I have a nice Millennium Falcon model (quite big) and over 90 sw-novels:) Whenever I have time, i read, mostly on the bus and on the underground. But this blog is now about the game.
There is a website (www.xwaupgrade.com) where we can find almost all the playable ships in more detailed graphic than the originals. (Big thanks for the guys who made them). I downloaded all and replayed this wonderful game... what can I say? Beautiful, like brand new. If somebody wants to have a space simulator, where using different tactics and strategy in each mission is absolutely necessary, then this is it. Unforgettable feeling what we get as a result.
A 'must have' if you like Star Wars:)

HIDDEN & DANGEROUS 2

I played many 'world war shooters' but my favorite is still this game.
(+ Saber Squadron expansion)
The graphic is old but nice. Even today I couldn't complain about it. The gameplay can be quite challenging, and it has a co-operative multiplayer option which makes it an unforgettable part of any lan-party.
Not like most of the shooters, here you really have to think and use slow advance otherwise you gonna get killed in no time. The enemy can shoot, act in group and for you everything takes time: healing yourself or your partners, searching dead bodies and getting weapons from them or other useful items. You can not carry 5 or more weapons like in other action shooters. Here you have a weight limit regarding to your physic and fitness. Even running and sprinting has a limit. When I first played the game I blessed the programmers that finally i can play a more realistic, very very good pc game. I hoped they will continue with a new expansion but never happened. Anyway, I played the game at least 4 times and it belong to my all time favorites.
If you have a chance give it a try. Worth it!

RISEN

I'm playing this game, and almost finished. I like it, but here are some critics:
There is too much talk at the beginning and less chance to improve the character. Can not buy armors, can not wear more then 2 rings (for what is our 10 fingers for?) which makes the fighting quite hard.
All together the game is cool. If you like Gothic or Morrowind - The Elder Scrolls, Oblivion, you will like this too. Nice (but a bit long) story, good missions, the fighting is satisfying.
Enjoyable, good game. Check youtube for some gameplay videos.

More critics here: (doesn't mean you shouldn't play)

- Should be some clothes available to find or get from dead bodies. The Hero is running around barefoot.
- Task in Harbor Town from Belschwur: to give potions to people could be easier if those names would be crossed on the list who got potions already.
- When I trade I cannot see how much gold the trader has.
- No chance to buy or find different clothes or armor.
- I don’t know which chest, closet did I open and which not yet. They are the same font-color. (In Gothic 3 this works fine.)
- In Harbor Town after I gave up Toni, he’s still walking around even in the Don’s House when the guards are standing there. He should have left the town already.
- The same animals getting stronger and harder to kill. Why? They cannot train them self!
- I found Wiesel’s body outside Harbor Town left from the gate. Probably he fell off the wall and died after I turned him in for the Order.
- When it’s raining the people are still sitting by the fire or standing around. It looks stupid.
- When it’s thunder and lightning I can still see it inside a cave.
- The Hero cannot sprint without magic spell.
- It takes too much xp to reach 10 learning points, the game becomes not enjoyable. No fun to destroy enemies, because it turns to an ‘attacking-running-returning-attacking again’-game.
- There is not enough mission to make xp without running around finding animals to kill.
- Trading sucks, I cannot sell my stuff for a good prize.
- Cannot forge magic weapons.
- Once inside the lizard caves the Inquisitor asking to call Ethan for opening a wall with the pickaxe, but Ethan died already, so it will be Vincent who has to do the job.
- Hard to kill animals which are keep jumping back when I attack them. It’s a bit annoying.
