Now I am still a Star Wars fan, but not like before.
I was born in 1977.
The 1st Star Wars movie came out that year.
HOW STAR WARS GOT INTO MY LIFE
Later in the '80s the television also introduced the great movie in Hungary. I remember my parents allowed me to watch with them, but when the tuskan raiders - the sand people - came riding on their banthas, I had to go to bed :( They said it is too scary for me.
5 minutes later I sneaked out to the corridor and tried to capture the movie from behind the handrail. The door of my parents room was a little bit open, so I could see half of the screen.
Oooh, how I craved to see every minutes of it.
But then they discovered me and closed the door :(
This is how my interest in Star Wars was born.
I started to collect pictures and info from magazines.
But there was not much available in the small village I lived.
At 14 I finished elementary school and started high school in the city. That was good. The streets were full of book sellers. And thanks to the translators I soon discovered my first star wars book.
Since than I collect the novels about the main story line. I dunno how many I got now, but more than 100. Not all.
Here in London there is a fantastic place to get everything about Star Wars. It's called Forbidden Planet.
